Everything You Need to Know
about Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) buildings.

Answers to the most common questions about LGSF technology, certifications, pricing, and collaboration process.

Technology and Materials
LGSF (Light Gauge Steel Frame) is a modern construction technology utilizing light gauge galvanized steel profiles. The profiles are CNC cut with an accuracy of ±1 mm and assembled into panels (wall, roof, floor) that form the building’s load-bearing structure. The technology enables dry construction methods without wet processes, significantly reducing construction time.
The lifespan of an LGSF structure is at least 50 years, often significantly longer in practice. The galvanized profiles are protected against corrosion, and the structure is designed to withstand weather conditions throughout its lifespan. With proper maintenance of the building envelope, the lifespan is comparable to traditional masonry buildings.
Yes. Our certified wall assemblies achieve fire resistance REI 60 (60 minutes), meeting requirements for most building types including residential buildings. Fire resistance is ensured by a combination of steel profiles, plasterboard, and mineral wool insulation. All assemblies are verified by accredited testing laboratories.
LGSF structures achieve excellent acoustic performance. The airborne sound insulation of wall assemblies reaches Rw 55-65 dB, meeting even strict requirements for residential buildings. Acoustic properties are achieved by combining multiple layers with different mass and elasticity — the mass-spring-mass principle.
Our wall assemblies achieve a thermal transmittance coefficient U = 0.15 W/m²K and better, meeting requirements for passive houses. Thermal insulation is provided by mineral wool insulation (Isover) filling the space between profiles and additional external insulation. This makes LGSF buildings highly energy efficient.
Certifications and standards
Our construction systems are certified according to ETAG 018 (European Technical Approval Guidelines for LGSF), we hold ETA (European Technical Assessment) and CE Mark. Additionally, we have Building Technical Approval for the Czech market, Certificate of Production Control conformity, and Production Control System Assessment Protocol.
Yes, LGSF buildings are subject to the same building regulations as any other construction. However, thanks to our certifications, the approval process is simpler — building authorities accept our certified wall assemblies and structural calculations. We assist you with preparing documentation for the building permit process.
Pricing and Collaboration
The price depends on the type and scope of the project. Roughly, the cost of an LGSF shell is comparable to traditional masonry, but faster construction saves you on overhead costs. For an indicative estimate, please use our Price calculator.
Collaboration proceeds in 4 steps: 1) Inquiry & Consultation — send us your project documentation or concept. 2) Design & Structural Analysis — we prepare the structural design and production documentation. 3) Production — CNC manufacturing of panels with quality control. 4) Delivery — numbered panels ready for assembly including assembly plan.
Primarily, we supply structural systems — panels ready for assembly. Installation is usually performed by the client’s construction company. However, we provide complete installation documentation, technical support, and upon request, training for installation teams. For selected projects, we can also arrange installation through our partner companies.
Flexi Panels are available through the e-shop of our distribution partner PRO-DOMA stavebniny. You can order wall, roof, and floor panels with delivery across the Czech Republic. For larger projects and custom production, please contact us directly.
For Architects and Designers
Yes, we provide BIM data, DWG files, and technical documentation for design. Registered architects have access to our Partner Zone, where they can find a complete library of construction details, assemblies, and technical datasheets for download.
Yes. Our certified wall assemblies are designed for use by any architect or designer. We provide full technical support — from design consultation to structural calculations. Additionally, we offer training and webinars for architects who want to start working with LGSF.
A wide range of buildings can be realized with LGSF: family houses, terraced houses, residential buildings (up to 6 floors), civic amenities (schools, kindergartens, offices), hall infills, tiny homes, and more. The technology is suitable for both individual projects and serial construction.
